Your job

Development and maintenance of the strategic vision for the Supply Chain Team.

Development and maintenance of strategic Suppliers in defined areas of Supply and in defined geographical areas.

Maintain an ongoing relationship with Sales and Operations teams to ensure that Supply Chain is aligned with major future business opportunities.

Ensure that the Supply Chain resource pool is adequate (in capability and capacity) to handle the current and projected workloads and that the structure is in place to sustain it for the future.

Ensure that the Supply Chain Department has all of the systems, controls, financial management and oversight capability to support current and projected operations.

Develop long-term sourcing agreements where appropriate, for the purpose of securing either favourable pricing, continuity of supply or outsourcing of ‘non-core’ activities.

Work with Operations and Finance to ensure that solutions best satisfy project requirements, included inventory management, ranges and levels

Continuously drive improvement in capability through the development of people and tools and constant monitoring of developments in the external environment.

Recommend cost-effective solutions to address business challenges and/or opportunities.

Conduct performance and salary reviews with the department staff; and conduct talent management practices and succession planning.

To be responsible for the receiving/shipping department and the warehouse

Manage the inventory and transportation logistic
Your profile
-
A degree or equivalent in a subject relevant to the function or industry.
-
Proven success leading a Supply Chain department - ideally with an organization that operates in manufacturing or construction.
-
Proven experience in managing diverse teams, working with customers and suppliers/subcontractors on multi-discipline projects.

Experience in contract negotiation, administration and interpretation of contracts would be beneficial.

Experience in evaluating and qualifying Suppliers.

Sound working knowledge of project management activities, including cost/schedule reporting and risk assessments.

Comfortable challenging the norm, uses creativity and balanced problem solving skills that take all stakeholders into account.
